Ruth Tribou, EA

Owner/Principal

Ruth Tribou received a B.S. Chemical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University in 1979, and worked for several years in the chemical manufacturing industry. In 1986, she changed careers and became a tax preparer. She worked from 1986 to 2003 at H & R Block, including H & R Block Premium. Ms. Tribou passed the IRS Enrolled Agent exam in 1992, and became a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute in 2010. Ms. Tribou received a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in December 2019.

In 2003, Ms. Tribou started her own tax practice in order to give more personalized, year-round attention to clients’ needs.  She has specialized in clergy taxes and small business taxes and bookkeeping, but prepares almost all types of tax returns.

Her business philosophy is that everyone has their own history, needs, financial situations, and concerns when it comes to taxes.  It is only through individual attention to these and other factors that a client will be confident that their tax returns have the best possible outcome.
